One of the best sessions for me at FOTB was Jonathan Harris. He inspired me and talked some sense into some of us. Besides spending some time on his installations and projects he also tried to convince people that our medium ( screens ) still need their masterwork.

Attending Flash On The Beach 2008

After being abscent in 2007 I will be attending FOTB again.

When FOTB popped up in 2006 I was there. It was the beginning of a new chapter in the Flash book. AS3 was around the corner and a lot of people had a lot of great ideas.

The first edition was fun, but the level was a bit daft. It was the year where all the attention was on “how to start with as3″. So my hope is that the level will be somewhat higher on certain topics. But I’m confident. I allready saw that there are now indications on each session to get a better idea of who the speaker is targeting. That’s new for me ( could be since last year ).

Looking forward to advanced Papervision sessions, nice Air applications, data visualizations and off course: Brighton. A lovely city, great music and superb ( vegetarian ) restaurants.

Can’t wait!

Papervision 3D workshop London

What an intensive 2 days, packed with awesomness

Ralph Hauwert really showed off the updated and new features in PV3D 2.0. We got the chance to goth in depth info about the engine, the how’s and the what’s.

On the train back I created my own little galaxy with stars and planets, lights and shaders in about 30 minutes. Just to say: 3D is coming your way – fast!

Thanks Tim for the good nights rest I got to spend at your appartment and nice to meet your roommates too!
Also had a good time throughout the second day with Matthew.
